 - Cannot delete infected file AVG Antivirus shows my computer infected with the Trojan Horse "DOWNLOADER.TOONCOM.K", and "DOWNLOADER.EXE" is trying to access the internet. When the anti-virus tries to delete the file "C:\_Restore\Temp\A0347590.CPY", I get an error message saying the file cannot be moved/deleted.  - Software Problem I am having a problem using my AOL 9.0. I've contacted AOL several times and they told me it was a problem with Windows.  - Exporer problems. It wont open my comp/docs etc... Had a problem with games keep freezing/crashing. tried to sort. Reinstalled windows as last hope. Got there but windows mucked up graphics driver (nvidiatnt32). Sorted that but now when i try and open my computer, my docs and others the error "EXPLORER CAUSED AN ERROR IN WMPDXM.DLL EXPLORER WILL NOW CLOSE" "TRY CLOSING DOWN SOME OTHER PROGRAMS". I only had explorer and system tray running. Found out the errpr is to do with a windows media player shim of the original filename of "64SHIM". Unistalled and reinstalled latest media player.  - Taskbar Frozen After starting or rebooting my computer, the clock on the taskbar takes about 5 minutes to load (also, I cannot click on anything on the task bar -or even use the windows key on the keyboard- until the clock has loaded). After a period of time, the entire taskbar freezes. I am able to Alt-Tab between programs and able to open new programs from the desktop, but I cannot click on anything on the taskbar, and no new programs opened or closed are reflected on the taskbar.  - Administrator Rights Hello, I was trying to install AT&T Internet service, and thier tech support says that I need to know the administrator password to install the software or register it. I only have one user created and have never logged on as anyone else. I thought I was the administrator. What happens when I try to register I get an error on thier software that says, unable to complete because account is inactive. I don't think it's a Windows problem, but they say it is.  - Computer shuts down while in use I am at my wits end here, while using the PC ( playing games, etc..) my PC screen goes blank and the mouse ( Trackball ) shuts down. this also happens when left alone for a period of time. The only way to get the PC going again is to switch it off manually then switch it back on again. I have no idea why this happens or how to fix it. Any help would be much appreciated.  - Defrag problem I tried to run defrag and it would only go to 10% and then start all over again.; This went on fo hours and never went past 10%.  - picture saving problem i'm trying to save my pics to a cd-r/cd-rw. it will not work for some reason. it keeps giving me a message saying "access denied. make sure the disk is not full or write protected." they are brand new cd's. i called emachines and he said the disc has to be formatted. i never had this problem before and i also have a fujifilm cd-rw and the pics save with no problem. any suggestions would be appreciated.  - Global.SW mystery file (4 Gb) I found a 4 gig file on my computer that I can not explain. Don't know what it is or where it came from. I'm running windows ME (upgraded from 98) on a Gateway Desktop. I've seen others with the same problem (linked below) and some answers speculating what it could be (along with a lot of posts in different languages) but have found no believable answer.  - Unable to delete temporary internet files I have a large number of temporary internet file I would like to delete, but can't. I was able to delete the cookies, but when I try to delete the 12,000 temporary internet file the pc locks up. If I try to delete a small group or one at a time I get no error or lock up, but the filed are not tranported to the recycle bin. They just stay in the temp folder. I have Windows ME and AOL.  - attachments to email Since doing an update to my windows, I have had a problem with my Outlook Express 6. Now when I have an attechment, it opens into Microsft Word, which is very disturbing. There is too much junk opening it this way and you are unable to forward to someone else. Also, you cannot get pictures forwarded to you.  - selective startup I have over the course of a year ended up with to many programs starting everytime I boot my computer that they all can't run. I went into the startup folder to delete some of the programs I never use and all I can do is uncheck them so they will not start up at boot. The computer now starts in selective startup mode. 2) error starting program
a required ddl file, icqrt.dll, was not found

3) update
error reading information from the registry!

can anyone explain what I need to do in order to get these
problems solved. Where do I go to retrieve or repair or
reinstall in order to eliminate these messages and get my
computer running properly again?

I would appreciate anyone's opinion at this point.

Missing File #1 is from your McAfee (antivirus, firewall, etc) software.
Reinstall it.

Missing File #2 is from your ICQ software. Reinstall it.
