 - Error message When ever I turn on my PC I get an error message of OE:19:BFF7B018, then it say to return to windows click enter which doesn't do any good. I then click Crtl+Alt+Del, then it goes to safe mode from ther i have to close safe mode then do a scandisk. then I restart my pc so I can sign on to windows the aol.  - Errors in Win ME I'm having no luck adding a printer to my Windows ME machine. When I double-click on the "Add Printer" icon in the Printers folder, absolutely NOTHING happens. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start? I've done basic system maintenance, removed unnecessary programs, killed all unnecessary processes, and it still won't go. Also, I don't know if this might be related (it only happens in Outlook 2002): When I start Outlook, I get this error: "The add-in "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MOCIEXT.DLL" could not be found or loaded.". Has anyone ever seen this before? I find no reference to this error in the MS Knowledge Bases articles. Maybe the two problems are related.  - Quicken Deluxe 2004 causes general protection fault Just upgraded from Quicken 2003 Basic to Quicken 2004 Deluxe. When in Planning report mode, every time I click 'Done' my computer crashes with "Windows An error has occurred.... Error:0E:016F:BFF8E64B" The fault log varies from "QW has caused a general protection fault in module KRNL386.EXE at 0002:000031a0" to "QW caused a general protection fault in module USER.EXE at 000a:00002009 or 001f:00002ff6a". I have run thorough ScanDisk, Run thorough virus check, uninstalled Quicken and re-installed in Safe Mode, created a new test file - still experience the problem every time - also a couple other random operations within Quicken have caused crash, such as printing a report.  - Help! Scandisk/Defrag now runs only in safe mode? ME Guru's. Outta nowhere, I can't run through scandisk unless I boot up from the safe mode. Even with everything showing clear but "Explorer" and "Systray" in programs, and with the PC booted with all the boxes checked in the "General" category under "System Configuration Utility", it won't complete. It just keeps bombing out with messages that it restarted too many times.  - Please Help! file error VMM(12) Ok.. Windows wont let me install anything. Everytime i try to install software, the infamous blue screen pops up and gives me this error: File Error: VMM(12)+ 00004c3c Error: OE: 0028:c0283c3c I dont know what to do, i did a search on this newsgroup for this type of error and found one message related to it. The guy that responded said to download belarcadvisor to find the problem, but when i tried to install it.. the error came up. I cant install anything!! its driving me nuts. Any help would be great.  - Systems Files I am trying to install a Trust Digital Camera and I have loaded the drivers from the supplied disc. When Windows detects the hard ware on my computer there are two error messages that appear these are as follows USBNTMAP.SYS not found iyuv_32.dll not found Please can anyone help.  - norton 2000 ME and outlook anybody have problems with norton configuring outlook and changing the settings of the smpt and user names and not being able to download , it keep prompting for password and username add.../domain.net to end of user name and I have to change settings back and delete the /domain.net to get mail and it does not scan incoming mail. thanks Tag: Mail Rules Tag: 213996

If I type something in a form or address bar, it takes forever for a single letter to come out. I downloaded IE 5.5 service pack 2 from MicroSquish, and successfully installed it, but it didn't help at all. NO OTHER PROGRAM HAS THIS PROBLEM!!! While I'm on the net, I can use ANY other program (Eudora, Free Agent, Word, etc, etc, etc), with NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER!!!! I've cleaned up my temp files, cookies, etc, run scandisk and defrag, run thorough anti-virus scans, and rebooted just before hooking up to the net (i.e., IE is the 2nd thing that comes up after the connection is made). I tried download IE 6.0, but I kept getting interrupted (this was at 3 in the morning!), and when it finally completed after numerous attempts, it failed to setup properly!  - Can't delete a file Greetings. I was transfering data files from my old computer to my new one via zip drive. When I loaded it, there was apparently only one file, a doc file, that lost its extention in the process. I want to delete it, but can't; every time I try to do so, I get this message: "Error Deleting File or Folder. Cannot delete file: Windows in unable to find the file. This item might have already been deleted or moved. Press F5 to refresh the view of this folder". I press F5. but nothing happened. I tried to do everything I could to delete it, but nothing works. I cannot even take it out of it's folder. I am able to put this folder in the Redycling Bin; however, when I then right click on it to empty it, I get a message stating "Cannot delete ***(the file).  - recycle bin not showing deleted items My recycle bin has 49 items in it when I press (emty recycle bin) nothing is showing in the list and it sais that there are no listings in the recycle bin.  - winme and cmdninst Hi, I am new to ME. I changed my video adapter and when rebooting my firewall(kerio) was asking permision for cmdninst to access ip 81.52.249.46 port 80. I looked this IP up and see that it is owned by the RIPE Network. I have alway blocked this IP range in my spam filters for email as it is notorius for spam origins.  - Conflict: Classical Solitaire & NSW 2004 Pro I have just installed Norton SystemWorks 2004 Professional and Norton Personal Firewall 2004 over their corresponding 2003 versions (according to Symantec's instructions). All seemingly went well. However, I find that ME's Classical Solitaire no longer functions (other games seem OK). Using Ctrl+Alt+Delete to remove the program "Csinject" allows Classical Solitaire to function normally. Although Csinject existed in previous NSW versions, this problem did not occur.  - Address Book I was attempting to use the address book that comes with the accesories group under windows ME. to do a mail merge. I attempted that manuever and was told I could not use it to do a mail merge. When I cancelled the transaction, my entire "contacts" directory was somehow lost.  - SEARCH- For Files and Folders Windows ME. There were several postings (including mine) from people for whom Start -Search- For Files and Folders does not work. I further found that you can go to ANY folder in Windows Explorer (Does not have to be MY Documents) , press F3 and Search dialogue comes on. You can also go to MyComputer ( icon on Desktop) - press F3 and the search dialogue comes on (and works). The only place F3 does not work for me is Desktop. Question to the experts: what stops it from working from Start- Search? Note : Several responses suggested to tick Tweak UI - Desktop- Search Results. It does not work for me.  - automatic windows update I am running windows ME and microsoft is sending me to their update site when i connect to internet. due to all the virus Emails I am getting I want to personalize the update site settings but am unable to do so.  - URGENT : Recycle Bin Problem Hi there, can someone please help with a Recycle Bin problem ? The problem is that when I send something to the Recycle Bin (as I always have done), when I then look in the "Recucle Bin" either using Windows Explorer or the Recycle Bin Icon on the Desktop nothing is there ! The Recycle Bin Icon shows that there IS something in the bin (i.e. "litter" is shown in it). On the "Properties" for Recycle Bin I have the "Display delete confirmation dialog" ticked. Windows explorer sees file in all the other location as normal. I have not altered anything lately but when I deleted by accident a file last night I realised I could not retrieve it in the usual way. I have been emptying the recycle bin from the Desktop icon, so I do not know how long this problem has been there. I really need to retrieve the file, so I dare not empty the recycle bin now ! I don't think u can use 'delete from server' *and* 'check the body' at the
same time, because the message has to be downloaded to check the body.
