I keep getting the above information, and the Computer
hangs or does not switch off. It happens over 10 times a
day. I do not have a "Palm" connected to the Computer, and
my ACPI file is down as "Archive" what can I do to
alleviate this problem, when the only solutions on the
Knowledge base are if you have a "Palm" connected.

Any help would be appreciated.

When did this problem start? What changes did you make to your system
(hardware, drivers or application) just prior to this problem developing?
Have you tried using System Restore to roll back to before the problem began
if it is only in the last day or two?

Look at hardware, especially drivers. When you see that msgsrv32 is not
responding this is normally due to it waiting for a driver that has possibly
crashed, msgsrv32 is simply waiting for a reply that isn't forthcoming.
Msgsrv32 is just the messenger, the problem nearly always lies elsewhere.

See MS KB Q138708 - "Function of the Windows 32-Bit Message Server"
