MAXKERNL.DLL file missing

How do I find and extract the file to replace it? Once I
get it extracted, where do I put it?

I can't install 2 programs because this file is gone.
Whate to do HELP PLEASE....!!

Reinstall your Visioneer scanner software.
I don't see why it would stop you installing 2 programs.
What is the exact error message when you try?
What are the 2 programs?

The Win Me operating system contains no file named maxkernel.dll. Are you
sure about the spelling? If you meant to type MAXKERNL.DLL then I believe
that this is a Visioneer file and probably installed as part of your scanner's
software.

What exact error messages are you seeing and in what circumstances? Have you
considered using Win Me's system restore to return your system to before you
"lost" this file, provided, of course, that that is not more than a few days
ago?
