Can anyone tell me where the HOSTS file is located on
Windows ME?

Dee:

%windir%\hosts

All the static TCP/IP static tables (services, protocol & networks) and LMhosts
are located there.

The Environmental variable; %windir% will USUALLY point to c:\windows
(unless given a different name at the time WinME was installed)

You may just have a sample Hosts file, called Hosts.sam
Download an Ad-blocking Hosts file from:-

By default there is no HOSTS file in ME - though there are hosts.sam and
lmhosts.sam sample files
If one exists, it will be in your Windows folder.

Do a Search for files named HOSTS - you'll see all of the available one,
including the ones above.
