I got it figured out in my own WINXP tools, options, security. etc. This lady
is using ME, and I can't see anything under the security tab, that remotely
talks about attachments. Please advise as to where the secret is about
allowing attachments, any email attachments..Many thanks in
advance.....Peter

Peter,

Guessing... The problem is the Lady!

After double-checking that possibility, try this one:

In OE6
Tools menu - Options - Security tab
Uncheck "Do not allow attachments...."

Zee

You were referring to OE, weren't you?

Hello Zee, first of all thank you, but I tried, and she does not have that
option. I even asked another person to look for me, no such item as the one
you mentioned. "do not allow attachments" etc. Can it just
disappear?............

Peter,

Read this somewhere in another NG:

Be careful!
in regedit navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook
Express]
"BlockExeAttachments"=3Ddword:00000000

Hope it works for you but do backup the registry before editing!!!!

Good luck.

Zee

1. Click Start->Run, type "regedit" (without quotes) in the Open
box and click OK.

2. Browse to this registry key:

<HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express>

3. From the right pane, search for a value named
BlockExeAttachments.

4. If you find the BlockExeAttachments value, right click it and
choose
Modify and delete the number in the Value data box.

5. Restart Outlook Express and try again.

Thanks for the help, I appreciate you a lot. I'm sick at home today, but
will try to fix the problem at work tomorrow.... I'm a little scared about
the registry, but I will do it carefully. I've done it before and I was OK
.........I'll write back.......Peter
