Suddenly when I click a JPEG file in my e-mail to open the image I get
this notice:
"Windows cannot find .exe
This program is needed for opening files of type 'JPEG Imag'"

Please advise

Many thanks

You need to re-associate the JPEG extension to a program like Paint Shop Pro or to MS
PhotoEditor.

In addition to Dave's suggestion:
Save the attached jpeg to your Desktop and then slowly LEFT click
it once to highlight it... Then hold your shift key down and RIGHT
click the same ICON and select OPEN WITH from the menu.
Scroll down in the group of programs listed till you get to "iexplore"
without the quotes and LEFT click it to highlight it and make sure
there is a check in the little box in the lower left of the OPEN WITH
window that says "To always use this application to open this type file".
Click OK. This will open all your jpg's, jpeg's in Internet Explorer.
It is fast and works for me... Another alternative is to download and
install the free viewer from Irfanview..
http://www.irfanview.com It is also a very fine picture viewer for
most any graphic format. However, for just plain viewing I prefer
Internet Explorer because you don't have to wait for a program to
open to just view it..
