I just installed a new hard drive as mine recently crashed. As stated in my
manual
I created an emergency diskette off of my Quick Restore Disk. When I go to
use the diskette I get a Non System Disk Error. When I made the diskette,
Quick Restore stated it was made but its not working can anyone help? I was
also told I could Re-download my Windows ME full version off the internet
without having to re-pay for it ? but I cant seem to find a download again
any help would be appreciated

Fred.

I suspect the problem with your system not recognising your floppy disk is
that your PC's motherboard bios is not checking for a bootable floppy
before attempting to boot from the new hard disk. To alter this you will
need to switch on your PC and then enter the bios using the keystroke(s)
displayed on the screen as the PC first starts. For many machines the
bios is accessed by depressing the DEL key as the system starts.

As for downloading a new copy of Win me from the net, no, this is not
legally possible but instead use the recovery CD or Win Me CD that you
received when you bought your PC.

You need to reinstall Windows Me that, if you don't still have it, has to be
purchased. Judging from this post, I would recommend you find a professional
technician to help you.
