The following URL is from the Internet Storm Center site. It lists a
"Current Block List File." Is this to be added to the HOSTS file? The
format suggests such, but, I was not sure.

Any educational words appreciated.

I wouldn't tweak your "native" HOSTS file, Loom...
If you want one that really works and is updated almost every two
weeks - try the MVP compiled (shameless plug) and used file;
Present Co. included; http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

I have the one dated 12.24.04, don't think there is a later one yet. I
submit to DShield and sans.org (Internet Storm Center) is related. Just
thought it might be a good addition, but, will heed your suggestion and
leave it alone.....won't even ask why.

Hey Heirloom, this is NOT a HOSTS file addition. It is a list of IP
addresses that are causing trouble rather than a list of domain names that
a HOSTS file needs.

With the right firewall ..... you could add these IP's to be blocked, but
that is a totally different subject.

That was my question......I wasn't sure what to do with it. The format was
similar to that of the HOSTS file, so, I figured it must be something to
enhance that. I am using ZAPro, latest version.......will look into it's
capabilities and/or need to incorporate the list. Thank you for the info.
Heirloom, old and will be out of pocket for a few days
