I checked Windows Update and it indicated that I need to
get .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1. I selected install
now and it went through the download process and then
started the installation. Very soon into the installation
the following message appeared in a common language
runtime debugging services box:

Application has generated an exception that could not be
handled.

It also listed some process id and thread id and then said
to click OK to terminate the application and to click
CANCEL to debug. I clicked debug and it said that some
other debugger could not be found and I canceled it.

I tried again to install it and achieved basically the
same result.

Does any one have any ideas?

Thank you.

Did you resolve this? I am having the same exact thing happen at one
location of a multi-location AD.

Thanks,
Steve
