Stupid Question time:
Its been annoying me no end but I cannot create new folders.
In 'My Computer' I look in the 'File' drop down but there is no option
'New', to allow me to create a new folder.
Even if I right click when in a folder I cannot create a folder that way.
What have I done, and how do I rectifiy this?

Only time I've known that happen was after one (possibly two) poorly-written
nVidia updates. Have you recently updated your graphics driver? Even if
there's some other reason, the reg file below may well fix it. Look here:
http://aumha.org/regfiles.php and scroll down to "Restore New Command".

It worked. Thank you very much.

No problem, though if you post again I'd like to know if it *was* likely an
nVidia update. The one in question was at least a year ago and it would be
interesting to know if it's happening again..

My Graphics card is a nVidia item, but I can't account for why the registry
was interfered with.
When I have done a re-install of ME, the gfx card driver is the first stuff
to be added to the operating system.
This problem occured afterwards, but I cannot remember if I did anything
with the graphics card to cause the error.

Thanks Neil,

I don't think anything other than installing the driver (or uninstalling the
previous one) removed those reg keys last time round. Also I've just
installed the newest nVidia drivers with no apparent problem. I think it's
most likely *something* you've installed/uninstalled has removed those keys.
If it's a long time since you looked at the New sub-menu, who knows how long
ago it happened, but if you use it a lot, it'll be a recent one.
