When i try to open Explorer on our PC, I get the error

"lexplore has cased an error in VX@.DLL
lesplore will now close

If you continue to experience problems, try restarting
your computer"

Of course, restarting results in the same message!

Our internet connection is working just fine!

Thanks for the help.

Check for virus and adware

Housecall Online Scan
http://housecall.antivirus.com
or
Symantec Security Check
http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/default.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym

SpyBot S&D searches your harddisk for so-called spy- or adbots;
http://security.kolla.de/
or
Adaware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

Assuming that you meant to type VX2.DLL then you have a parasite.

For details see:
Parasite:Transponder http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/Transponder.html, and,
http://www.cexx.org/vx2.htm which states:

"If you have this unwanted guest you probably have others as well. Get a
copy of AdAware from http://www.lavasoftusa.com, install it, run it and
download the latest updates, then scan your system and clean everything it
finds. When complete, restart the system and scan it again. Keep scanning,
cleaning and restarting until the system tests clean. Some stubborn pests
may require a restart in Safe Mode to clean them if they persist through
several scan/clean cycles.

You may also want to get the CoolWeb Shredder from here since it targets one
specific, often-changing spyware program:
http://www.merijn.org/cwschronicles.html"

Thanks for that feedback and that you've now hopefully managed to rid your
system of an unwanted parasite,

Cheers,
