Greetings.
From Simmtester.com, I've downloaded DocMemory Beta V2.2 to test memory
locations. On one of two WinME machines here (HP7840 & HP8705), it works in
the HP8705 in its entirety. The other only gets within one second of startup
up to MATS+ and freezes. So rather than showing me if there is fault with
any location, it freezes. Is there some way to get it to work so I can
burn-in and test the new RAM? I have tried the test with each set
separately with same results. I have selected default settings on BIOS and
RAMs are PC100. Without this test working, I'm concerned there is something
wrong.
I am having an intermittent "failure to detect" type messages when trying to
burn with the CDRW drive on the HP7840. (message varies depending on
software being used to burn). I hope there's no problem with the
motherboard, and if so, would it have anything to do with intermittent burn
problems on the CDRW drive? What test(s) are there for motherboards?
Thank you!
B.rgds,
Kevin
