Dial-up modem

Where do i find info about the Brand of modem my puter
uses. i want to Update my Modem to use V92 technolgy.

Try right clicking on the My Computer | Properties | Devices Manager | Modem
. Double click on the Modem icon. There will be a sub-icon(s), highlight
this and click the Properties tab. You should be able to find out all the
information about your modem by checking out the information for the various
tabs.

You should check and see if your ISP supports the features you get on
V-92. I use Bell Sympatico and they do not support it yet.
