Disconnect all USB devices, Boot to safe Mode, open the device manager and
delete all entries relating to these devices.
Boot back to normal mode and insert one of these devices (not your
printer) and let Win Me redetect the hardware and attempt to install the
drivers. If it asks for you to insert your Win Me CD, do this if you have
a CD rather than a recovery/restore disk, or if you do not, point the
hardware wizard towards the folder on your hard disk containing the file
BASE2.CAB. This file should be found in either C:\Windows\Options\Install
or C:\Windows\Options\Cabs however some manufacturers seem to have located
the Win Me cab files elsewhere, If that is the case for your system I
would suggest establishing the location of BASE2.CAB before you add back a
USB device.
