I have been trying to get an update. An error message
always pops up and eventually I am told that Registered
JIT Debugger is not available. I am hoping someone will
tell me what JIT debugger is, how to get it, how to enable
it, etc.
Thank you.

The update I have been trying to install is the
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1, which Windows
Update has indicated as a critical update for me to
install.
Thank you.
