Are Windows and IE updates always cumulative? I'm checking for a friend
and the MS page of critical updates shows 43 items for ME. (accessed via
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/catalog/en/default.asp ). The list
isn't exactly informative!
He's pretty sure he's had automatic updates from time to time, and the
Windows Update check from the Start Menu says he's OK. But he
reinstalled Windows from his CD a couple of months ago and we are
wondering if the Update checks the product or just the registry or
wherever past actions are recorded.
