Help! I have a Dell laptop with built in mouse pad and
external logitech trachball and microsoft trackball. My
pointer will disengage from all controls and "wander"
accross the screen going where ever it desires. Sometimes
hitting the "control" locator key will bring it back on
line, other times it will just get stuck in a corner and
will take a time before it becomes usable again. Either
trackball will have the same problem and sometimes the
mouse pad can be used even if the external mouse (mice?).
Dell has been unable to understand a fix and microsoft has
not been of help either. Any ideas besides "skipping" the
laptop accross the lake?

Thanks, John

Hi,

Could you rephrase that, including...

what combination of touchpad/logitrack/mstrack causes it

the documentation for the laptop states that you can use an external
device without disabling the touchpad?
