The partition table on my hard disk is corrupted. Is
there any way to recover data files from the disk without
spending a lot of money?

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

You may want to connect the old HD to a new HD and make the old HD the Slave
and the new HD the Master then copy the Data Files across

Yes - free if this info is within your tech scope, else the cost of
hiring suitable frontals to put this info to use...
