Whenever I click on any icon in my control panel an error
message reading "Windows cannot access the specified
device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate
permissions to access this item." pops up. I cannot
delete unwanted files or change anything on my computer
due to this. I tried the tech support but I cannot get my
ID # for the computer because the error message pops up
when I follow the steps listed. If you could help me then
I'd greatly appreciate it.

a variant of the CoolWebSearch hijacker.
