I have a compaq computer that I've upgraded from an
Athalon 1200Mhz to an Athlon64 3000+. I have all hardware
setup correctly but when I start the computer it will not
boot. I get CMOS and POST but the system freezes with "OS
not found" message. The hard drive came with the computer
and has ME on it and I know it was bootable before.

In addition I tried using my compaq quick restore disks
and they tell me the computer is not a compaq (presumably
because of the motherboard is new). The restore will not
work. I'm kinda mad a compaq. I should have a full version
of ME. I have a license for it!!

Where can I get a replacement Win ME CD set?

e-bay?

Your previous licence and hence the recovery disks was "tied" to your
Compaq system. Since Win Me is end of line probably the easiest way of
purchasing a new Win Me CD is via eBay.
