I was downloading "critical updates" from the
windowsupdate.com page. then all of a sudden, i got this
message, that popped up: Explorer has caused an error in
Browseui.dll
It told me to try restarting, which I did - same result.
I hit enter and all there is, is a black screen (not
white like this page says:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=289799)
This is running on an emachines etower 600is, so there
was no Windows Me emergency startup disk included, just
their own "restore cd". Nothing on that disk helps fix
this problem.
Anyone can try and help me get my computer back to
normal? Thanks much...
