I followed article KB 272623 to try to get Windows to be
able to print out a directory listing - but it didnt work.
(Step 8 was not quite the same on my Me computer). When I
clicked on the folder, it activated the .bat, but I only
got an error message and nothing printed.

However, that is not the (main) problem! After trying to
adjust the Action associated with File Folders, I now find
that when I click on any folder icon, the print .bat is
always activated. Obviously I do not want this. However,
the computer will not allow me to remove this action.

I click Start - Settings - Control Panel - Folder Options -
Filetypes, scroll down to "File Folder" and click on it,
click Advanced. This opens the "edit File Type" window.
The "Actions:" window has two enteries: "find" and "Print
Directory Listing". I would like to remove both of these,
but the computer does not offer me that option. The menu
enteries are pale.

A million thanks to anyone who can tell me how to remove
these Actions and just get the folder to open as normal
when I click on the icon.

Thanks,

Kelly
