I get a message that says I must reinstall Windows.
I don't have the original disk (cd) or floppies.
I have a floppy install of '95.
I ran a "Maxtor" Western Digital copy and format floppy
that I have from another harddrive and it tells me that
the boot directory has too many entries.
I can get the harddrive as master to boot to the desktop
picture (wallpaper) but not to the web picture. the large
white dialogue box comes up and says I have to reinstall
windows.
Is there anything I can do now!!!!!!!!!!1
My email is thmstv@yahoo.com.
I was using an AOL service when the thing started
experiencing trouble. Also ME is on a Compaq Presario
system. All the drivers were ok and it all worked
allright. I was getting several blue bacdground dialogue
error windows prior to this. They said error in BFFE----.
If you think there is any site or download that can
diagnose or correct the boot directory please email me at
thmstv@yahoo.com
I Appreciate it.
Thanks,
Thomas Stevens

It's difficult to say what might be wrong from your post, but if you are
left with no alternative but re-install (without the CD/disks), then take a
good look at Noel's pages on:-
http://www.btinternet.com/~winnoel/reinME.htm
If the windows\options\install (or CABS) folder and files are still there,
you are in with a chance.

Good luck
