Hi Ed,
Just a FYI, if you use 'Real Alternative' and 'QuickTime Alternative' -
freeware codecs that use Media Player Classic - you can still run,
respectively, Real Player or Quick Time format files without having either
of those obtrusive pieces of junk installed. Install the 'Alternatives':
http://www.free-codecs.com/QuickTime_Alternative_download.htm and they'll
become the default handlers for those file types.
