Not when so many other good spyware cleaners are free.

Sure, but what's the point of there being *one born every minute* if there's
no-one to take advantage of them???

My general recommendation is the same as most of the others: There is no
commercial antiparasite software that is better than what is free. Even if
there is some that is as good as the freeware, it would seem to be wasted
money.

But in this case there is more that can be said - I would actively recommend
against Spy Bouncer.

Here is the best site I know for tracking bad choices in antiparasite
software:
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

Spy Bouncer is known for overly aggressive advertising; installing itself
and taking over parts of a user's system without permission; and false
positives (invalid reports of system infection) used to goad people to buy
products.

My advice: Avoid.

I would add that you need to decide if you want an "active" anti-spyware
tool, which examines packets for known spyware and blocks them as they
arrive at your PC, or passive, "on demand" tools like the free Ad-aware and
Spybot, which detect and remove known spyware from your disks. Some of
these also have other versions, often for low cost, which are "active".
They add to the strain on the machine, just like an AV tool, and so may not
be preferable for older, slower machines.

For the clueless, teenage users, and other similar users, I often encourge
their parents to buy a good "active" tool, eg., Webroot's Spy Sweeper.
Others exist.
