Every time I start my computer it goes to the list for Normal, Safe mode,
command prompt but I want it just to go to the desktop without stopping
there?

Use MSConfig (Start, Run, enter MSConfig in the box and click OK), open
the General tab and then click the Advanced option. Now uncheck "Enable
Start Menu". OK and Apply out and reboot. You should now no longer see
the boot menu.
