Same friend different problem

When booting up Windows ME it automatically launches a folder located in My
Documents.
How can it be set to just go to the desktop without opening a this folder?

John,

May I ask which folder in My Documents is being opened ? Have you
scanned the system for viruses or spyware ?

Actually it is a friend who is cleaning up someone else's computer of
several viruses. I believe he told me it was called Ten or something like
that. If clicked it shows a folder full of pictures. It appears to be a
shortcut to the my documents folder. The link is isn't in start-up. If
deleted and the computer is re-booted it still loads this folder.
