I upgraded the board and chip but I'm using my old
HD and Ram. ME will not boot. I get the Win Splash screen and then
the prompt choise of Normal, Loged, Safe, etc.
I can't boot in safe mode either....I get "System Halted"
I'm wondering since the BIOS is set to Auto for HD and shows
DMA2 but the drive is a five year old Seagate....could this do it...seems
inlikely but?

For the hardware changes you have performed, it would be best to do a clean
reinstall of Me since there are (no doubt) driver conflicts from Me thinking
it's still on the old mobo and trying to function with the new one at the
same time.

An install of Me to a different folder on the same partition may be feasible
just to get your files rescued.
