Sounds like you've got a corrupted path statement somewhere, left over from
working with IE.
Often, 0E:0028 errors are hardware/driver related and seeing that this
occurs when inserting a CD then this is a good starting point. No
guarantee's that this will fix it, but has to be worth a try! And be sure
to set a System Restore point first!! Is "oe:0028:00000001" the COMPLETE
blue screen error report?
Boot into Safe Mode and select Device Manager. Locate and 'Remove' any/all
CD-ROM(s).
Reboot into Normal Mode and WinMe will detect and re-install the drivers,
hopefully correcting the problem.
If not, you could try the same exercise with your modem.
