Hi,

I've just formatted a system and installed a fresh copy of ME, nothing
else.

However, when I try and Reboot, I get a blue screen saying: "You
computer failed to reboot. You need to power off the computer wait a
few seconds, and power it back on"

Sure enough that works. If I choose Shut Down, that works fine also.

Is there anything I can do to prevent this blue screen on Reboot??

TIA

MVP Jim Eshelman has a shutdown troubleshooter web page for Windows Me
at http://www.aumha.org/win4/a/shtdwnme.htm

You might find something regarding this problem there.

Good luck
