Add/Remove Programs problem

Hi, I have a small, but irritating problem. When I go
into Control Panel Add/Remove Programs and remove some
things it goes through the motions, says it is done, but
the program is still on the list. Even after reboot they
are still there. When I try to uninstall again, it
doesn't do anything but jump back to the top of the list.
Are the programs gone or not? How do I get them off the
list?
Any help would be appreciated.

Go to this registry key and check carefully
the listing and delete it from there
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
