One more thing, Silj:

This time I did get the error message, if I may call it that.
Only after changing the '14' in Definitions under General Settings to
outdated after '21' days, I was able to finish the updating process.
Lavasoft was announcing it's new website with the invitation to visit. Could
that have anything to do with it?
Whatever the case may be, I'm up-to-date now.

Harry.

Maybe just a server problem, Richard.
'Just try again later'?
Hoping for the best,

Richard......the 21 day switch has nothing to do with the download. It
simply was my solution to the annoying reminder notice.

I have no idea where Harry got that idea.....but then again, who has any
idea where he gets most of his ideas....LOL.

The reminder "switch" - if you would like to call it that, can be disabled.
And/or set to however many days in which you like to be annoyed.
Or have you not found that feature yet?

Are you speaking to ME?? I was the one who told people where to find
this little "switch"......so that they could stop the "annoying
reminder". Can you not read??

Or are you just being a PITA, as is your usual mood these days.

Again, this is a tweak in Ad-aware that should be shut off.
Your explanation _was_ not clear.

No comment other lamenting regarding what us MVPs add in content is a
PITA is ridiculous, thus my absence from supporting this NG.

Good luck.

Yahoo!! However, you did leave before but keep popping back in to spam

Mike is not alone here and he will do just fine. He is a well-qualified
MVP, unlike some others. And there are any number of qualified people
who can easily answer questions. Mart, Alias, Joan, Heirloom and so
on.

Besides...you are acting like a 2 year old which is rather
hilarious.....except for the fact I just lowered myself to your level.
Won't happen again. (of course not, Heather......he once again says he
is leaving....yeah, right).....LOL!!

I don't think his absence will be noticed other than for a reduction in
the background noise. It's not as if he has actually helped anyone in
this newsgroup for some years.

Please treat all other online participants with *respect* and do not use Microsoft
Community Chats to threaten, harass, stalk, or //abuse// other users.

Ostensibly that would include other MVPs, Mike!
Got a beef with me? Let your EMEA Lead know and it shall prevail from there.
I have flat-out had enough with you as I sincerely wish to support this NG.

The only way you will earn my respect is by either leaving or by starting
to help those having problems. For example by responding to those posting
that are having problems with Internet Explorer.

Please note that I made one critical post of your spamming. You are the
one who then proceeded to act like a child.

I don't wish to earn your respect, nor will I ever, I suspect. Nor do I care.
We are co-existing MVPs, that is (all) -

> Please note that I made one critical post of your spamming.
The one critical post was, too much and has no foundation on anything
that I know of the in the four years I have been an MVP.
**Quote the MS protocol for Spamming and I will perhaps have a look.**

>You are the one who then proceeded to act like a child.
Again, I _strongly_ objected to **your** issue of me posting Security related
information via a Forum URL. I still see absolutely //no// logic in your objection
and contruing it as spam.

You do not dictate the rules in this NG which will likely disappear shortly.

Your EMEA Lead has been emailed, prepare yourself.
_You_ have forced the hand, not me, you must understand this.
Though some illogical reply is imminent, no doubt.

All Due Respect to others expect some that are reading this.

MVP NG issues occur, this one, I will not relent until I have a public
apology from Mike Maltby.

System Restore is security related information? You really do need to
take a reality pill. I would also suggest you get back to helping those
having problems with Internet Explorer which is your area of expertise
since I feel your expertise in the security area, like mine, is sorely
limited.

Sure is, how many SR issues have you addressed in this NG?
Few, I'm sure.

Sorry - I don't take drugs. Even "happy pills" - not for me.

Excuse me! - I post in other NGs, all the time, of OS hijacks, *including* IE.
I have not been awarded four years running on IE for nothing, though you will
likely plonk in your thoughts.

Lorna has been notified, I will **not** relent until _you_ apologize for your abuse
of MVP priviledge and your behavior.
