Boy...you sure beat us all to that one!! But I was out getting a new
network card in my WinME so I can hook it up to the router. Now I will be
able to remember how WinME works, lol.

Cheers..Figgs.....young and now ready to answer queries (queeries?). Ah,
what the heck.

Just a chance manual check for updates to my Net protection. Sounds like
you are having an ME relapse and, just when I have finally gone over to
XP. Yes, I was forced to make the leap when my ME installation suddenly
Cr***ed out. A glitch corrupted my boot drive and I couldn't even
reinstall or fix my ME. No virus or malware was involved. A long story
for another time. Try to keep up with those "queries". Hmmmmm!

LOL!! And here I am in the middle of setting up this network.....think I
have it half done, but not sure. Could have it "mostly done"....I dunno.
Isn't XP a blast after WinME?? I forgot how slow ME was till I turned it on
today to set it up. Using my old Win95 monitor on it as well. All 14 or 15
inches of it.

Glad to hear that you are now officially an XP user. I think you and I were
the last two to upgrade. When did you get yours?? Keep an eye our for
those "queeries", OK?

The short answer? Sometime in mid 2004. Some things in ME are easier to
access and, C+A+D is simpler as well. I also don't like the fact that
dialogue boxes like "MS config" can't be maximized making it easier to
read and edit. Particularly since XP prefers a higher monitor
resolution. Other than that, XP certainly is more forgiving of program
crashes and has yet to require a restart when thing go loopy. BTW, I did
finally slipstream XP with SP-2 and reinstalled without a hitch.

As for your closing request, "ouch, I got something in my eye, wink,
wink." >:->
