| I still use Ad-aware SE with WinME to my satisfaction.
| Web updates are no longer supplied, but one can download the updates
| manually as a zipfile on their website, unzipping it right into one's
| Ad-aware folder, while
| replacing the old one. Works like a charm for me.
| See if it does for you, too.
Ad-Aware manual updating :
http://download.lavasoft.com/public/defs.zip
Unzip the contents of the file to the Ad-Aware SE installation directory,
which usually is "C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE".
If still having problems updating, go to
C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE and delete the files
"defs.ref" and "defs.ref.old"
