I keep receiveing an error when trying to update the clock using any one of
the five possible sites provided by MS. I keep receiving the following
error message: An error occurred while Windows was synchronizing with
time.windows.com [or any of the other sites].

Suggestions? Thanks, DH

More info - I disabled my fire wall (McAfee) and the time sync worked fine
_except_ that Windows adjusted the time one hour earlier than it should be.

I am in the Netherlands and currently on Daylight Saving. Hasn't Windows
Vista been updated with changes in world time?

Incidentally I went to http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_dst (Daylight
Saving Time Help and Support Center), jumped through a few hoops and was
informed I'm good to go.

Am I alone here, will the SP1 fix this? Thanks, DH

Well, I rebooted the computer and now it seems that Windows and the gov't
site give me the correct time when I update using the internet time.

Oh well ... sorry. DH

Fix what?

McAfee interfering with the proper operation of Vista or Vista keeping up
with all the local permutations of DST?

Probably neither.
