    - Ringmaster's Infection Control Knowing the methods in which a disease is transmitted is important for implementing proper infection control measures and large scale prevention campaigns. Excreted transmitted diseases are almost always spread through direct reading of moronic posts, as they are extremely sensitive to bullshit. Fecal-oral transmission is usually associated with organisms that infect the mental system. Microorganisms enter the body through reading of contaminated messages. Inside the brain, these microorganisms multiply and are shed from the body in feces. If proper hygienic and sanitation practices are not in place, the microorganisms (Ringmaster) in the feces may contaminate the water supply through inadequate sewage treatment and water filtration. Ringmaster is a contaminated piece of excrement that may be used as posting bullshit. If the infected individual is a waiter, cook, or food handler, (which describes Ringmaster) then inadequate handwashing may result in food being contaminated with microorganisms. Unless you've been living in a cave the past couple weeks you know what a serious world wide financial crisis we're in. Having a software background I'm going to explain to you in a way that's easy to understand. First the Banks don't have any money and the Banks made Loans to idiots like Ringmaster who can't afford to pay back his loan. Of course this fucktard Ringmaster defaults on his loan. Multiply this by millions of Ringmasters who can't even balance their checkbook, but they can't figure out how a simple copy of Vista works on their PC's. Remember when your parents had their homes and the father worked and the mother stayed home? In todays world, imagine having Ringmaster in the house. The wife would say, "Fuck. Ringmaster is home, I need to get a Fucking Job". So the Mother went to work so she wouldn't have to see the Fucktard Ringmaster when she came home. This is because Ringmaster was always drunk, Ringmaster was always insulting everyone on the Internet. Thousands and thousands of insulting posts going to Dr. Laura and Rush Limbaugh forums. Everyone is a fucktard, fanboy, fuckwit, or worse Ringmaster thought they were members of his fucking Idiot Club. Imagine that! This is NOT a family crisis, rather a Ringmaster circius. Both politicians and the news media have wrongly been referring to the pending legislation as a "bail-out of vista.general" implying the fat cats will be the major beneficiaries. Not so. That is why most Americans who, lets face it, are Joe six pack types are totally clueless about vista postings don't understand and have been watching Ringmaster flood vista.generalwith angry posts demanding they go along with everything Ringmaster has to say. Like most forum meltdowns this one has it's roots in STUPIDITY. Assessing who's to blame is more easy. If you take a look at the root you will see that the majority of the posts are negative and the majority of the negative posts are by Ringmaster, blasting everyone who has a different opinion than him. Helpful posts like everything else goes in cycles. Posts have been rising so fast Rubes think they never could start going the other way. Well they did start to fall and hard. That is what started this mess. Vista users wrote inquiring posts. Many people got to read these posts but found that Ringmaster would butt in cussing them out, talking about Frank with almost every question or answer. Users were almost afriad to respond because they were blasted by Ringmasters disgusting rants. We'll leave the complex paper shuffling out of this discussion since it is too complex to explain in a newsgroup, so basically we'll just say Ringmaster started to lose braincells by the billions. There are almost a 1,000 publicly posted messages on the vista general forum. Under government regulations as well as generally accepted rules of posting, most anything goes. But in recent history, with the forum being upset by the lunatic Ringmaster, the Government just might step in to help stop the flood of idiot postings by Ringmaster and his group of clowns. Several flies in the ointment. The big bullies, especially Ubuntu pundits use excessive language. That's where they increase their bullying power by posting shit posts after shit posts for every legitimate post posted. Obviously things are starting to go bad and they can go bad fast. As the public tires of Ringmaster and his antics, it just might be time for action at the Federal level. We shall see but with the financial problems of the country, the vista group may just have to wait. We will achive justice. Once and for all.     - Second time around - Vista webserver access Please accept my apologies if I have cross posted this question inappropriately. I had this problem solved first time around but the solution evades me second time around. I needed to reinstall Vista when I made a mistake constructing a RAID storage array. (It works great now.) I wish to make my web server page(s) available to the Internet. At this point, I can access the webpage with URL http://127.0.0.1/ but with http://192.168.0.100/ I get a Gateway Timeout error. First time around I set up virtual web server on my router so I'm sure that still works. I've done every thing I thought I did first time around. Thanks in advance for help.     - Slow transition from one HDD to another License Issue I am running a 16 MD cache with Ultimate and want to rebuild a new HDD - same Vista license - with a 32 MB cache. I installed XP first then Vista, set up a dual boot, but now I want to remove Xp, is it possible to remove XP, and make the "D" (which is a partition of a 360 gig drive) the "C" part of the drive, what I am trying to do is keep vista without having to re-install and all the setting up that comes with it.     - AVI & WMV thumbnails missing All AVI and WMV files display an icon rather than a thumbnail image. JPG photos etc are all OK. I think this is a codec issue as the icon displayed changed when I swapped from CCCP codecs to K-Lite.     - What would you wish to be improved in the next version of Windows Personally, I think Microsoft should spend more time improving Windows Explorer than any other softwares included in Windows. It looks like as new versions of Windows come out, Microsoft is showing off brand new bundled applications for example the Sidebar, DVD Maker, Windows Picture Gallery or something for Vista. Actually there are many good or better softwares that can replace them. Many of them are even freewares. See Picasa for example. But Windows Explorer, it cannot be easily replaced, and most of the time, we are dealing with Windows Explorer. Making good application is what other companies are to do, what Microsoft should do is to improve the OS. So I hope Microsoft would put more and more functionalities to Windows Explorer. Of course those should be able to be turned on and off in order not to confuse novice users. Some improvements I can think of are, 1) Queuing file move/copy operations: this will be useful if you need to copy many files to a slow medium like a flash memory drive. Currently, you can start copying with multiple files are selected, but once it has started, there's no way to add new files to copy to the operation. And, if you commit another copying, it will be started promptly rather than being queued, thus causing both copying operations to be slow. 2) Remembering speed displaying status : I need to unfold it each and every time to see the copying speed. 3) Pausing file copy operations: when copying a big file, the computer may become very slow, you need to do something right now quickly but you don't want to cancel the copying and start it from the beginning again. 4) Quick toggle buttons on the Explorer toolbar for showing hidden and system files: these days, many files could be created hidden. This could also be some security issue. But changing the setting is not easy, and you don't want to see the system files all the time, it's ugly. 5) "Open command prompt here" for the context menu : now that TweakUI is unavailable for Vista. 6) "New folder" context menu, instead of New -> move the mouse -> Folder. 7) Remove Internet Explorer history from Windows Explorer address bar : annoying, now that Windows Explorer cannot host Internet Explorer but launch a separate process. 8) Hiding file extensions by default can be deceptive and confusing.     - Vista Search Contacts Outlook 2007 Fails again OK, I know this is a big problem, and all the responses lead everyone down the usual path of reindexing, repairing ost, pst files and to no avail. I'm posting under Vista...although this could apply under XP and the Office Forums....Its really an indexing issue tied to Outlook contacts Turning off indexing, although slower, seems to be the only fix. I had this problem on XP with Office 2007 and on my clean build of vista SP1 w/outlook 2007 (now 1 month old). I've tried all the tricks...its just totally unreliable to depend on. I am the network manager/top admin, and if I'm frustrated...just imagine..... I'm am greatly fearful that once Vista is further deployed with outlook 2007 in our enviroment, our help desk is going to be overwelmed, and the customers are going to hate Vista and Office 2007 more than they already do. Customers are not going to tolerate having to re-index the computer over and over. As for patches...yes...completely up to date...lets not go there.... Microsoft...needs to find a solid fix to this. My contacts are up on the Exchange 2007 server, not in a local pst,ost. Perhaps this is key. The tools/options/search are set to index the mailbox. This is a laptop, perhaps the computer is too busy during the day to complete the indexing and disconnected at night when less busy. All my contacts sync well with my smartphone and laptops outlook 2007 client. This is a great feature, but totally unreliable. What is the REAL Fix????...( lets not suggest the obvious anymore!)     - XP Vista folder permissions Hello, I'm slaving a hard drive with Vista Home on it to an XP Pro machine, the laptop says the hard drive is going to crash, I slaved it and it is still accessible, I'm familiar with folder permissions and taking ownership of the folders/drive ect... I've had this issue in the past (but with an XP OS) where I had to take ownership of the drive so on and so fourth.     - Unable to delete invalid registry entries Hi, a novice here need some help on registry clean up. I started to use Registry First Aid, but there is a lot of entries that have not permission to delete, and they keep growing, now is more then 700 entries.     - Limited connectivity I have a small wired LAN consisting of 1 Vista and 3 XP Pro machines.     - Replacing file does not work I tried copying a new version of a file over top of an old one in a program directory under "Program Files" and it says the size is the new size, but when I open the file in an editor it has the old content. I even tried deleting the file first and it shows up as deleted in the explorer window, but when I copy in the new file has the old content. I finally gave up on using Windows Explorer and opened the two files in the editor and copied the contents of the new one into the old one. That worked. Anyone know what was happening to prevent the old file from actually being deleted? I even went into the recycle bin and deleted the old file there before copying in the new version.
