0xc000000f registry missing

I get this error when I try to boot vista
File:\windows\system32\config\system
status: 0xc000000f
Info: Windows failed to load because the system registry file is missing or
corrupt.

I tried booting from the installation cd and doing the repair opton but it
came up with the same error

If System Restore fails, you will need to look into what recovery options

I have the same problem and i have tried all recovery options, i
have had to completely re-install Windows Vista (Ultimate) 5 times now, and
every time it will work for a while then crash again

If this really is a registry problem is there some kind of
registry recovery that Microsoft officially endorses that i can trust???

I love vista but and at my max i NEED this comp for school and cant
afford to have to re-install all my software and Vista 2x a day plz help me
out here.

You can use Vista DVD to repair such registry corruption problem.
and can do manually....

Boot from Vista DVD and open CMD

Change dir to *C:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack*
Now execute this command to replace backedup Registry hive to corrupted
one.

> Copy SYSTEM.OLD C:\Windows\System32\config\SYSTEM

Restart your Windows to take effect...

You may need to re-install all system drivers.
