Hello.

I have vista 64 home preimum installed.

Now in the begining USB devices worked fine, you put them in and vista
reckonises them as per all the drivers pre installed (as XP was)

But then my mate came round with his mobile phone that acts as a memory
stick too, it would reckonise his phones memory stick, so i downloaded the
software for the phone and that seemed to work using the phones software.

But from then on, no usb memory devices work at all, vista wont locate the
drivers it says, whats up?

Any fix please?? Very desperate?

Thanks

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the USB Root Hub
device(s), Action menu, "Uninstall", then 'scan for hardware changes', to
find the device drivers again automatically.

Hello.

I tried this and the same thing still happens. I tried the vista dvd for a
repair installation option but it doesnt seem to have one.

The usb works as in you insert the stick and it instantly comes up with
"unable to install hareware" or something like that (Im sure you know what
window Im refering to)

Any more ideas?

Thanks
