First...
I just changed out the P4 630 3.0 GHz w/HT and a 800 MHz FSB with a Core 2
Duo E7200 2.53 GHz with a 1066 MHz FSB on my ASUS P5NSLI 1066 FSB mobo with
4 GB (2x2 GB) of PC-5300 DDR2.
The upgrade seemed to have gone fine -- nothing complained along the way --
except that the mobo reports the FSB to be 1066 but Windows reports it as
900 MHz.
Any idea why Vista would see a different FSB speed than the board's BIOS?
Finally...
Somewhere along the processor upgrade path I have lost the ability to
restart. Now when I select restart, it acts the same as if I had selected
shut down. It winds down and then turns completely off.
Any idea why Vista would choose to shut down rather than restart?
