I have Vist Home Premium on my new computer. I needed to upgrade for my job.
I was told to buy the Business Upgrade. I did and it turned out to be the
wrong product. You CANNOT upgrade from home premium to business. I am now
stuck with this software. Any suggestions?

Return the software and purchase Vista Ultimate upgrade.

You cannot upgrade the software because Vista Home Premium has features that
are not in Business. Windows never allows an upgrade in place when it will
result in the loss of a functionality. That is by design and nothing to be
concerned about. You can still use the upgrade edition of Business to
install Business but it requires a custom install. Custom is one of the two
options (the other is Upgrade) on the Setup screen after all the
preliminaries and just before you confirm the installation.

It means you will have to reinstall your apps, files, and settings. You can
backup your files and settings to intermediate storage with Windows Easy
Transfer and restore with WET after the installation of Business. You will
still have to reinstall your programs.

sure she'll understand this better than I. i'd be afraid to attempt this on
my own. Thanks for the info!
