When I go to indexing options only 17 objects are indexed even though I've
been using the computer for hours. I tried to do a rebuild but nothing is
happening. For instance, in Outlook the search is not working and it says I
have 9850 objects still to index. Any idea how to fix this? I had to do a
system repair with the repair DVD earlier on. TIA

In Indexing Options, have you tried clicking on
Modify and place a check next to Outlook and
then click OK?

Is the indexing paused because you are using the computer?

Under indexing options, Outlook is listed as one of the locations along with
Users Folder and two others to index.

I am away from the computer sometimes and it says only 27 items indexed
under indexing options.

FOR SOME PEOPLE INDEXING/SEARCH DOES NOT WORK WITH VISTA. PERIOD.

Microsoft REFUSES to investigate why Vista's search DOES NOT WORK for
everyone until someone with a BILLION dollars cares.

Microsoft doesn't care about us small people for whom Vista's search WILL
NOT WORK.

Vista search may work for you, but I need a 3rd party tool to search files
in Vista. I want XP back.
