A blue error page pops up for just a couple of seconds after start-up and
then starts rebooting all over again. It's only there for a few seconds so I
don't have time to read it all, but it's something about the registry and
writing to a read-only memory. It's my son's computer, and he says he hasn't
loaded any new hard or software. F8 works, but it won't start in safe mode or
any of the other choices.

Do you have a Vista dvd? Did Vista come preinstalled on the computer? Has
the computer been moved lately? What is the make and model of the computer
and the edition of Vista on it?
