Processor speed isn't the determining factor.

Ultra Portable computers use SSD ( Solid State Drives ) either in
4 or 8 Gigabyte sizes. Vista cannot be used on those because of the
15 Gigabyte requirement for disk space to install. Even using vLite
to customize the install Vista will not fit on most UP computers.
( I know this because I own an Asus Eee PC running XP ).

Instead of your FYI, you should have signed this one FUD. Do a
little research next time instead of glancing over articles on Atom
Centrino CPUs.

It could boost the sales of computers without an operating system
installed! Others have suggested Linux but any retail version of Windows
XP can be legitimately installed if it has been removed from the
original computer on which was installed.

you are the worst poster in here.

disgusting you are.
Compared to you Frank and Yanaire are likeable, even alexb is bearable..

There is no doubt in my mind that you suffer from metal illness and that you
a horrible person.

If I had the ability to remove anyone from this newsgroup, it would be only
you.
Only you... thats how bad you are.

Sad.... you make me want to puke.

The main issue is drivers. I just removed VISTA 64 bit for a client and
finding all the drivers for xp64 was a bitch + he had to pay for the OS.
Linux beats VISTA hands down, in IMHO it beats XP too, highly depends
on what you do with your pc.
