After my enforced re-installations of Vista and XP I am running with
UAC still enabled.
I have a program which needs to run automatically at bootup but it has
to 'run as administrator'.

How do you set this up in startup?

Right click the application executable > click Properties > Security > under
Priviledges, check 'Run this program as an Administrator'.

Andre

I followed:

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/79612-startup-programs-enable-disab...

and changed to direct registry entry from a startup goup. Defender
still insists on blocking it thus stopping it starting up and as this
monitors my telephone line it is unsatisfactory to say the least.

Having always run, in the past, with UAC and Defender turned off I am
trying to be good but this is beginning to get ...

Any more assistance you can give would be appreciated.

So once more when MS or anyone else reboots my PC I would like this
program up and running without any outside intervention.
