7 windows updates will not install...

I am a complete novice, and have been given a fairly new PC. However, 7
updates today will not install, and I dont know what to do.... the numbers
are KB936782,953838,951066,952287,951072,890830,950974.
iI am running Xp, and the SP3 updated fine.... not sure where to turn
to...any help would be greatly appreciated.

duh - same thing happening to a lot of us - go to the MS.com site and do
them from there

You might also look in, or post to the windowsupdate group, rather than
simply a winxp group
Also MS offers free support for critical update issues

If I acquired a used computer (no matter form what source or how much I
trusted the previous owner), the first thing I would do with it would be to
reinstall the operating system cleanly. You have no idea how the computer
has been maintained, what has been installed incorrectly, what is missing,
what viruses and spyware there may be, etc. I wouldn't want to live with
somebody else's mistakes and problems, possibility of kiddy porn, etc., and
I wouldn't recommend that anyone else do either.
