After for some reason losing this week when I went to the Nadaq page and
having to re-do it (still without all my items) I need to backup my home

The file menu. 'save as' has the item to save as a file of type 'web
Archive' (*.mht)

All that stuff you configure on the msn home page is stored in a 'cookie'.
You could save and restore the cookie the next time, when you rebuild the
live page, and then it is corrupted.

If it's stored in a cookie, why do *all* of my other computers behave the
same: all of my settings are gone and all I see is the default page?

My experience with MSN would indicate some site error that lost everyone's
data. The cookies were probably corrupted by some bad site page code.
Passport has been convulsing for a month or more, so I'm not really
surprised.

Thanks for the help. I suspected it was MSN.

What about M$'s preaching about backing up data? Don't they back up their
servers, which affect potentially millions of people? Can't they at least
acknowledge the problem? Can't they give at least a small damn? Convulsing?
Sounds like a warning, and they still let it happen. Pure BS !!!
