shutdown error messages

Most of the time when I shutdown the computer I receive one or both of these
messages.

End Program: Direct DBNotify WND Proc

End Program: Adobe Acrobat

Why do I get these and is there something I need to do to correct it?

Also are you using Reader or the full product.
If you are using Adobe Reader, have you upgraded to the latest version.
