I have again tried to download a exe-zip file and gotten only a word
document. This happens frequently. Others have downloaded this particular one
yesterday, so the site is working. I have seem mention of this problem in the
past, but not found a solution.

Is it a zip file that becomes an executable file ?

Why don't you post the link to the download. I guess that way we can
see what you are being presented with. Don't post the file, just copy
the web page link into the message.

I know I might get smacked for this, but there is no exe zip. There is
a zip and there is an exe. A zip can contain a exe and an exe may be a
self extracting zip.

This is what the page says:
Clicking below will download a ZIP file that unzips to an EXE that runs the
install wizard. A full uninstaller is included.

Okay, What you are downloading is a zip file. A Zip file can contain
any number of files, all collected together. Its easier to distribute
because they all travel together. If you give the zip to john doe, he
will get all the pieces since they are always all in that zip file.
And the zip file is smaller in size. Sometimes less than 1/4 the size
in extreme conditions. Thus making it more efficient for transporting
over the internet.
Windows XP has built in support to extract the zip file. Or you have to
install a 3rd party unzipper. Lets stay with XP for now. So what you
need to do is download load it, remember where you saved it, find it in
windows explorer and then right click on it. There will be an option to
extract. If possible extract to a new folder just so you don't get it
confused with other files. Like if you downloaded to C:\downloads,
then unzip into c:\downloads\lunabar. Now if you open the lunabar
folder you will see some exe or setup or install program. Now you can
follow the websites directions.

I downloaded the file and unzipped it using Windows built facility.
When you have finished downloading the file, you will need to
double-click on the file and on the left hand side, you will see an
option to extract all files. Click on it and it will extract the three
files it contains for you. you will then need to double-click once
again on file "LunabarSetup6.exe" and it should nstall the necessary
program/service for you.

OK. I got it. I thought I was downloading it to my desktop, but the only
thing there was the word file. I had just looked in the program files from
the start menu. when I used the program files in explorer I found everything
I needed. Thanks.
