Stop when installing Windows XP

I am trying to reinstall Windows XP. I have ordered in BIOS the computer to
begin with CD. This function.
When I went on with reinstalling and I read the rules
for using Windows XP and I was asked to print F8 for
approving and go on, this did not function. I was stop.
Why?

Check for an F-Lock key on your keyboard and make sure that it is enabled.
